The Basics of Ministry

Welcome to the first post of the Ministry Blog! Hopefully, this blog will be an educational resource and an encouragement to anyone involved in a ministry, or anyone who is beginning to check one out. So to kick things off, I want to explain what ministry is, the purpose of ministry, and how it works. But first, I should state that the definition I give for ministry is in no way comprehensive, and the same holds true of how ministry works. To fully define how ministry works is an impossible task, as any definition I could give could not possibly fully define the ways in which God works. What I will give you, however, is a working definition for the basic purposes of this blog, and for application in your life.
